THE LOVE TRIANGLE

We followed up our 2010 Wallowas trip with another adventurous backpacking experience. We wanted to connect three of Oregon's most beloved places (hence the name...) beginning at the iconic Bagby Hot Springs, hiking through the Bull of the Woods Wilderness and into the contiguous Opal Creek Wilderness and onto Breitenbush Hot Springs. However, because of snow, we were rerouted and spent our entire trip exploring the incredible ancient stands of the Opal and Battle Axe Creek areas. We rested one night at the Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center and continued onto the world-renowned Breitenbush Hot Springs to soak in some of Oregon's best hot springs. Camping in some of Oregon's remaining primeval forests, we will also reached overlooks to an expansive wilderness landscape. We were by joined by local artist, Linda Wysong who participated in a wonderful evening of conversation.
